FLOOR THIRTEEN THEATRICAL LABORATORY PRESENTS
floor thirteen’s second season showcase
Floor Thirteen, in association with The Tank, presents THE Happiness treatment, a collection of Five short plays devised and developed by the Floor Thirteen Theatrical Laboratory company.
Happiness exists, but at what cost?
I. The Procedure: A woman returns home after receiving a sensational new Treatment for unhappiness, but her friends find that she doesn't quite seem herself.
II. The Encounter: An idealistic student takes an otherwordly being prisoner, only to find it knows more about her than she knows about it.
III. The Newsroom: Visitors from another world may have taken over society, but the morning news still gets done.
IV. The Performance: When the leading man of a play is murdered, the show must go on - but can the cast figure out whodunnit first?
V. The Escape: A group of rebels take refuge from the world in an abandoned mall, but they find some problems aren't so easy to run away from.

She’s thrilled to be back at The Tank where she has performed *three times* in What We Choose To Breathe (Carrie), Moonlight Becomes You (Luna), and No Light Lives Here (Sekhmet), a previous Floor Thirteen one act. She’s super grateful to be back in the city; continuing to nurture her love for the arts…and her 32+ berets, 100+ teapots, and one chonky and incredibly fluffy cat, Baby.
Mark Davio is a graduate of the drama department at the University of North Carolina who recently realized his life-long dream of becoming a stereotype and moved to NYC to pursue a career in acting. He's jubilated to be back for Floor 13's triumphant return and he double-dog dares you to find a finer group of theatre nerds. Some of the most fun he's had on stage so far has been playing such roles as Ren McCormick in "Footloose" (Temple Theatre Co.), Bobby Strong in "Urinetown" (Kenan Theatre Co.), and turning the Scottish Play into a slapstick comedy with Company Carolina.
